Kansas State Sovereignty

Sen. Mary Pilcher Cook (R-Shawnee) courageously filed a Senate Concurrent Resolution, SCR-1609, that asserts the sovereignty of the state of Kansas under the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Read the resolution at http://www.kslegislature.org/bills/2010/2009_1609.pdf and let your state legislators know that State's rights must be preserved and exercised, particularly in the face of an oppressive Federal government.

With the "stimulus" being signed into law and the inevitable strings that will come attached to any money that will be flowing to the states as a result of this disaster of federal overreach, we MUST say, "enough is enough," and tell the feds to stop treating sovereign states like indentured servants.
