Hutch couple gets nod from White House for children's book

Some Hutchinson grandparents have turned the story of their family dog into a new children's book. They wrote, illustrated and published the book themselves. Now, they are winning congratulations from the White House.

From pound puppy to local celebrity, Buddy is the star of his own book; the real-life story of his owners adopting two cats.

"This guy's house, where he was king, suddenly had two cats in it!” said author Marilyn Hope Lake. “And as I watched them interact, I realized there's a great story in that."
