Wichita Teachers Abandon Schools

In a move to demonstrate Wichita's cross-cultural comittment, the Wichita school district has hired 20 teachers from the Philippines for positions in math, science and special education. Apparently, the move was forced on the district when they were unable to hire American teachers for the low wage postions. Perhaps next we'll see the school district introduce Tagalog classes to replace those in English.
