1 CENT SALES TAX ABOUT TO START: TIME for CHANGE

Come Friday, Sedgwick County shoppers will pony up the change for the $184.5 million downtown arena project. The 1 cent sales tax will cost the average family of three an additional $141 a year, based on U.S. Census and Internal Revenue Service estimates.
